We love everything fall. Especially the food. Maple, pumpkin, cinnamon, sweet potatoes, ginger: so many great flavors to try! Apples are also finally in season. This means it’s time to pull out the apple pie and apple crisp recipes. Fall is a great time to go apple picking with the family. It’s also time to start adding apple slices to our kids lunch boxes. Apples are delicious on their own, but we found a way to take them to the next level. You have to try this Bacon Wrapped Caramel Apples Recipe, a savory dessert for the fall season.

This recipe combines a lot of flavors. Caramel apples are always a favorite, particularly with kids. It’s a little bit messy, but the end result is worth a little bit of mess. Garrett Valley Farms has great variety of bacon. We used our Applewood Dry Rubbed Bacon since it’s such an awesome pairing with apples! The recipe is pretty simple. It is easily and can be quickly made as a special treat or for specific occasions.

Recipe Tips:

Not a huge fan of caramel? Try drizzling chocolate sauce over the bacon wrapped apple slices instead!
